Judi Coleman Schnebly, owner and instructor
Judi has had a variety of careers over the years with teaching being the central cord through all of her jobs. Unlike many Pilates instructors, Judi was not a dancer or trained athlete. From early childhood, she suffered back pain. Foot supports, back braces and physical therapy did nothing to help her overcome her pain. As the years went on, other parts of her body started hurting, first one joint then another, most likely as a result of poor movement patterns caused by her back pain. Fifteen years ago, she purchased a video of Pilates. One time through the video, and she was hooked. Finally something that relieved the pain in her back! She found a Pilates studio near by and has not stopped working out since.
After leaving the corporate world, Judi started teaching Pilates, going through the Peak Pilates training program. The teacher training program was the final key she needed to get herself out of pain. After years of all movement causing her pain, she is now able to sleep through the night without pain.
Judi’s teaching background and her first hand experience with back, foot, hip, knee and shoulder pain have helped Judi to become a strong Pilates teacher, helping many clients get out of pain and learn to move correctly.

Pilates Central is a gem. I was new to Pilates and was thrilled with both the physical space and the equipment at Pilates Central. Most importantly, Judi is a top notch instructor. Her understanding of Pilates and the unique needs of each individual is second to none. She tailors sessions to address areas of concern while incorporating solid Pilates principles. In addition, Judi provided me with exercises to do at home to complement the studio sessions. I have since been to other studios and none compare to Pilates Central. – CI
The thing that stands out for me is how Judi takes the time to get to know me and is consistently able to tailor my workouts accordingly. With a wonderful combination of patience and compassion she pushes me to achieve more than I thought I was capable of achieving and celebrates each success with me. She has helped me improve my balance, posture and overall strength. Thank you, Judi! — KB
